Used hotel as we travelled from Santander to Almeria province. The hotel is right alongside the main motorway and from the road looks a fairly ordinary. However, when approached from the front it is much improved and when you walk through the front door it is beautifully appointed in polished wood with tasteful furniture. The public areas are lovely and the rooms are nicely appointed. There is a nice breakfast room together with a cafeteria which was open all day and provided tapas and small meals. There is a cavernous and beautifully appointed main restaurant with a good menu but was in the medium to high price range. As a stop off point on a North/South journey well worth a try.

The hotel is just off the Burgos/Madrid motorway and so is very convenient for anyone travelling to the Ferry from the south. The original part of the hotel is an old stone building with beautiful beams and lovely pieces of old furniture, but the rooms are in a new extension, they are spacious and well decorated. The staff are very friendly and there is one English lady who works on reception.
I wouldn't really say I didn't like it, but he menu in the restaurant was rather limited. You can eat an alternatively lighter meal in the bar.

We have stayed at Venta Juanilla on many occasions and always look forward to staying there. It is very handy for the a1, the rooms are comfortable, the WiFi is handy and the bathrooms are both clean and luxurious.

Idealy situated for the trip south from Santander or Bilbao. The staff are always helpful, friendly and professional. There was a good choice of bar food available at good prices. The room as always was excellently prepared

Beautifully appointed hotel in an old historic building. Excellent value for money, and very conveniently sited on the a1 between Madrid and Bilbao.
The restaurant was expensive and the food mediocre.

This hotel is ideally situated and has the luxury of a Parador at a fraction of the price. The staff are very friendly but also professional. The standards of cuisine are very high.

Spotless room. Nice furnishings in public areas.
Location shown on Booked.net website was incorrect. This hotel is not in the open coutryside it is right next to a very busy autovia. Requested a quiet room - the room offered overlooked the main road and to be fair was quiet if you kept the windows shut but the aircon was 'off' in all rooms' . so very hot and stuffy. The staff were evasive about changing to a same class room in a quiter location ('all rooms ocuupied') and we were offered either cancel and lose the money or upgrade (at full cost) to an expensive €100+ superior room on the quiet side of the hotel. We reluctantly accepted the'extra cost upgrade but felt cheated as this hotel was not busy. This stay left a bad feeling. Avoid.
